Dr. Luck was Co-chief Resident in Ophthalmology at Georgetown's Center for Sight where she is now a Clinical Assistant Professor. She has authored a number of publications in both ophthalmic and other scientific journals and participates in the training and continuing education of young physicians and other health care professionals by lecturing on topics including Retinopathy of Prematurity and Ocular Motility.

Dr. Luck's clinical practice emphasizes pediatric ophthalmology with special interests in the diagnosis and treatment of strabismus, the prevention and treatment of amblyopia (lazy eye), nasolacrimal (tearing) disorders, ocular evaluation in children with learning disabilities, the diagnosis and prevention of ocular disorders associated with prematurity, and working in partnership with primary care physicians in the diagnosis and care of systemic illnesses such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes mellitus and neurofibromatosis. She believes in the importance of a holistic approach to her patient care.
 
 
Jenifer A. Aventuro Luck, M.D. has extensive academic medical ties with Georgetown University, where she earned her Medical Degree, a Master's Degree in Human Physiology, and completed both her Ophthalmology Residency and Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology. In addition to being elected to the Medical Honor Society Alpha Omega Alpha, Dr. Luck was further honored in medical school with awards for outstanding academic performance and superior demonstration of the art of medicine.
