Eleanor Min, OD

Eleanor K. Min, O.D., F.A.A.O. is a residency trained pediatric eye doctor who joined Kids Eye Care of Maryland after working many years at The Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. Originally from Greenbelt, MD. She specializes in routine eye exams for children, with particular expertise in refractive errors, myopia control, amblyopia, and strabismus. Dr. Min is among the leading experts in developing treatment with MiSight® 1 day soft contact lenses. MiSight® 1 day soft contact lenses are specifically designed for myopia control and are FDA approved to slow the progression of myopia in children aged 8-12 at the initiation of treatment.

Dr. Min received her optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University where she graduated with high honors. In addition, she is a Beta Sigma Kappa and Gold Key academic honor society member. She continued with her post graduate education and residency at the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry which focused on pediatrics and binocular vision, with emphasis on the diagnosis, management, and vision therapy for developmental visual anomalies, including strabismus, amblyopia, as well as visual processing disorders that result in learning disabilities.

After completing her residency she stayed on as clinical faculty in the Binocular Vision clinic at UC Berkeley for a year as well as obtaining her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry. After completing her time in California, Dr. Min moved back to her hometown in Maryland, and joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor at Wilmer Eye Institute, affiliated with Johns Hopkins University.

In her free time, Dr. Min loved spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Dr. Min is fluent in conversational Korean.
